I really don't want to start a political debate, and I hope the following
simple statements won't.
But, I just feel it's important to be clear about this. Hopefully it can
reassure everyone.......

We can be pissed about our government, and still support the troops.
I'm tired of seeing signs at pro-war rally's saying "we support the troops",
as if those who want peace and disagree with how this was handled don't.
We *all* support our brothers and sisters in the military.
No question.
They work at the pleasure of The President. We all know that.

But, even folk in the military question their government.
So, it's o.....k to question, disagree.
I've been a part of the military family all of my life. They all state
their opinions, and they don't always follow Bush's or current
administrations policies. They watch the debate, weigh the issues, and
don't collapse in a heap sobbing just because of a protest, or receiving
orders to do something that they don't personally believe in. If there is
continued debate, they want to know about it and weigh it. These are strong
and educated people.

There are many who are angry with the way diplomacy was handled.
That anger can't be ignored, and the expression of it by people as prominent
as Dashle shouldn't be stifled. It should be explored.

But now, now that the fighting has begun, there's only one thing to do.....
Do the job, and support those doing it.
I believe that's what we're seeing now.
