Pete Townshend - guilty until proven innocent

I'd just like everyone to realize that the man hasn't even been charged
with anything, that he invited police into his home and encouraged them
to take his computers and any thing else that they wanted to.

I'm an acquaintance with someone in New York that has known Pete since
the Monterey Pop festival, and he confirms that Pete has been in therapy
regarding the hinted-at abuse in his own childhood.  I just believe that
the world would be better off to let the man have his day in court and
lay off.  He has three children to worry about, one of them a 16-son, who
is having to go to school right now with all of this shit going on. 

I personally believe that at worst, the man is guilty of stupidity.  If
you are going to be convicted of that, then put up a fence around the
entire planet.

And lastly, does anybody remember McKenzie Phillips (son of Papa John
Phillips) telling her story on VH-1 about Mick Jagger sleeping with her
when she was only 15?  She said that Mick told her that he  had been
waiting to this "for a long time".  Now, call me a biased Who fan, but
doesn't sleeping with a 15-year old seem like it would warrant a mention
in the paper?  Well, it didn't get one.  Apparently, it's okay to sleep
with a 15 year-old, but it's not okay to research the subject of child
abuse, much less your own, for a book.
