Presumably to *pay* and thus contribute........
A definitive line that was crossed...........
One that surely caused a long pause...........

The only thing It can be is that the desire to learn and understand one's
past is huge.  Is there anything more important to an individual?

There is sense there.
It *is* logical given where Pete has been, the road he's traveled, the
life he's devoted to self exploration.  The subject matter he's delved
into in the past.

The problem?
It's a tough sell to the general public.
