This is MG Deluxe in the SACD format, which samples
the source tape at a much higher rate than normal CDs
and also has surround sound capabilities.  You need to
have a player that is compatible for SACD though with
certain material it would be worth it.  Given the high
quality of the master tapes for MG, it would probably
sound pretty cool.  

Personally, if they did a SACD/Surround Sound reissue
of Quadrophenia, I'd be sorely tempted to buy a player
just for that!
