I must admit, I LOVE the 1982 version.  It ranks second for me behind IOW, but that's likely because I saw the IOW footage of it prior to hearing the CD and the performance left me speechless.

Something about Pete's leads in the 82 Toronto version makes my spine tingle.  My band has recently put this in and fuck, it absolutely rocks.  Our lead guitarist goes to town on all the opportunities to improvise in it.  When I'm not singing I have to jump and dance or do something wild during YMB.  It's like I can't help myself.  What the Who did with that song is beyond brilliant.
