Re: Missing John; Kinks Koncepts; Is it Keith, for a moment...

notes that have been branded into my brain.

Kevin:

Yeah, that's it all right. It's what's NOT there any more that I hear.

(ok, I just grossed myself out.)

And me, too.

Hoooooold on there partner! I never defined what "dangers" is or what
"unsafe" is. This, would be up to the individual parent.

Well, that's scary too for other reasons.

What I *do* know for certain, is after a certain point, you can only hope
that you've given your kid enough smarts to be safe.

That's it, you won the powerball!

"Hey-i mighty brontosaurus, don't you have a lesson for us?

I'd heard Melt The Guns by XTC already, which that song is very similar to. Plus that's on side one. And then what about Russians? Pretty good Sting solo song there...

You guys are beginning to make O&S seem intellectual and thought
provoking.

Lew:

Some of us aren't welcome on O&S...consider what it would take for THAT...

PS~The Kinks have produced equal, if not better, concept/Rock Opera
albums than TheWho-> ever thought of doing.

Bullshit! Name one! Arthur is their best album, and while a concept album it's no Tommy...let alone Quad or Lifehouse. I love The Kinks but they aren't The Who.

After listening to this song over and over I hear Keith clearly on the same
kit as on the '73 album.

Jon:

I can't believe those three songs were recorded at the same time the rest of Quad was. The production is totally different. They sound more "modern" if you can call it that, even though Joker James was written in 1968 (I believe). I can believe they were recorded during the WAY sessions, if it IS Keith...but not before.
