Pete's uncut version of Cobain review

I wrote in a previous post:
>But, while I read the review, and particularly the lines quoted above, I
couldn't help but keep >thinking that this is/can be a whole can of worms
opening. Kind of a battle of generations, if >you will.
I then learn that The Observer deletes the following statement from Pete:
This book is a part of that negative and tacky business. Remember Kurt
Cobain for the oxygen-spray sweet relief of Nevermind, its astonishing and
vital new music. That music was created in a genre that was in the early
'90s so stolid in the mire of its own colourful and innovative history that
to be original was almost impossible.

I can't help but feel that by deleting the above, The Observer is in a way
trying to perpetuate a generational feud between Pete and Kurt.
Why else would they delete the one very complimentary statement (other than
the fresh air comment) made by Pete.

I see rough waters ahead mate!
