Ha ha ha. Very funny, Simon. Thanks for skirting the fucking issue. Whatever.
If Pete wants you along then what are we gonna do? What he says goes. Gotta
keep Pete happy. Anything more than a four-song contribution though & I'm gonna
be pissed.

Let's see:

The Who with backing musicians - Poor to mediocre reviews from the majority of
fans & critics alike.

The Who stripped down & raw - Nearly unanimous praise from fans & critics alike.

Yeah, let's revert back to 1989. Let's water-down The Who once again. Oh gee,
aren't we lucky. The live songs will have much more depth with two guitars. How
better to simulate the studio versions? Gee, we're so lucky.

Some songs will have TWO guitars! Oh how wonderful! That way we won't have
to worry about Pete turning up & making all those dreadful loud noises with his guit-
ar. Why does he have to be so loud?

With Simon, he'll be able to lay back & accentuate. Like a light, low-cal salad dress-
ing, he can sprinkle his guitar over the rest of the music. Oh glory be to God in all his
highest! Fucking goddamned Simon Townshend is going to help "thicken-up" some
live Who songs! Glory be to God.

Put your foot down, Daltrey!!! Tell Pete to leave the fucking family at home. The god-
damned beer at these shows is going to be watered-down enough. Don't allow Pete
to water-down The Who again!!
