Hi -- This is a message that I sent to some friends,
and to Townshend and Entwistle. The reply from
Entwistle or his rep. is pasted below.

My message:

OK. Enough is enough. I've always wanted to see
these guys, and they are as good as they've ever been
right now. But decent seats are $150+ in Chicago and
$500 in LA. These guys have more money than god and
enough swing to get ClearChannel Promotions,
Ticketmaster, MCA or anyone they want to agree to
price shows reasonably. So "meet the new boss."
Guess this is why "the old man, he's got all the
money," Pete; looks like you're no longer kids and you
are definitely not quite all right. If fantastic
timeless musicians want to make dinosaurs of
themselves by abusing their fans and making it more or
less absolutely prohibitive for younger people who are
listening to, making, and re-shaping music to get
decent seats to their shows then fuck them in their
dusty museum cases.

Take a lesson from Bob Dylan. Pete, John -- I don't
expect you to care about this and I don't have any
delusions about this little message affecting your
sales in any way that's important to you, now. But I
know that a lot of people including myself will not
hear or perform your music in quite the same way
again. Even when you guys were weak what you used to
stand for carried you through . . . I hope you've
figured out a way to take it with you.

Don't get fooled again,
K
