quality, Pete replies:

this afternoon we, John and I, were listening to a
stereo LP by TheBeaTles, in which the voices come
out of one side and the backing tracks come out of
the other.

When you actually hear the backing tracks of
TheBeaTles without their voices they're flippin' lousy."
