Subdued audience at SW

A friend of mine, Steve W, had a bit too much to drink before the gig (the
Friday night, first SW), and he won't mind me saying he was dancing to the
classical bits, singing at the top of his voice along to BBE, much as you
would do at any Who gig. An american chap sitting in front of him (we were
about 6 rows from the front) turned and said something along the lines of
"I've flown 5000 miles to hear PT sing, not you buddy, so shut it". Steve
sat back and was quiet for a bit. A little later I said to him, "you're not
going to take that, this is England, can't have yanks coming over here
ordering us about" etc (I regret egging him on, because it then turned a bit
nasty), Steve thumped this guy, offered to take him outside, smash his head
in etc, etc. All left a very bad taste in mouth, only resolved by Steve
leaving at the interval and getting more to drink along with Irish Jack,
they always seem on the same wavelength.

So yes, it was a bit quiet and subdued in our section, and we listened
respectfully, clapped in the correct places, and didn't do anymore dancing,
especially to the classical bits.
