I think you're right about the mis-match.  Since I don't like the sound of 
it, I can't hear the lyrics, either.  That means I don't have a good feel 
for whether it really holds together as a project.  There must be something 
we're missing, though, if it hooks fans for Pete.  Certainly he hasn't lost 
confidence in it, if he's working on a theatrical release.  Of course, 
there's apparently much more music we haven't heard.  It would be 
interesting to hear the full demos on this one, wouldn't it?  In other 
words, to hear Pete sing the whole thing.
