Subject: Interesting item on eBay

John Mendelsohn (rock journalist and author of "The Kinks Kronikles,"
among other works) is selling seven letters that he received from Pete
Townshend in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The opening bid? $3,995.

What's interesting to us is the letter John chose to scan in and post
with the auction - a short one-pager on Holiday Inn stationery in which
Pete talks about his admiration for Ray Davies and The Kinks, especially
the "Arthur" album (judging by the 1969 date of the letter).
