Just for Fun survey

Since the survey seems to have run its course, it's interesting how it went. 
  This was a self-selection type survey, of course, and not a random sample, 
but still it might turn out to be fairly representative.  So we can figure 
the population of the list is a bell-curve of mostly thirty-somethings with 
tails that run down into the teens and up into the fifties.

Is that because The Who were at their most popular when they dropped out of 
the game in 1982?  Why did so few forty-somethings check in?  Nobody wants 
to admit to being forty-something?  Seems like there would be a lot of fans 
out there from the early seventies.
