Got live if you want it; Track of the weak; Under which Rock?

>And of course some live versions make good songs sound band, and vice
>versa.

Justin:

Not in the case of The Who. Always better, with them.

>>rolling stone critics ranked the Who as #2 on best comeback of the year.

Keets:

Don Henley? When did he leave? Or does being with the Eagles count as being
gone, thus a comeback. It just deepens my conviction of the "worth" Rolling
Stone magazine has.

> The Oz could be considered because it has elements of Jazz.

That's Roger from Oz, I guess...I meant The Ox of course.

>For my money....There is no weak link in Quadrophenia.

Kevin C:

Right. Not that album. It's perfect.

>Has anyone out there heard Emma's first album? How is it? Honestly.

Pelligrin:

It's very much like other Lilith music; it's good but not outstanding. If
you like Sarah McLachlan and Liz Phair, you'd like it. But Bjork it's not.

>i love every song on quad..there are songs on every album which i would
dump
>except quad and tommy

Scott:

Just curious...what songs would you dump from WN and LAL? I'd have to
include them with Quad and Tommy as no wasted songs.

>"To the question "Are you better off than you were eight years ago?"

Jim:

The overwhelming majority of HONEST Americans would answer Yes. But that's
already starting to change...as I knew it would...

>bass solo of the 20th century. This is *THE* song about being pissed

Bjorn:

Not Dr. Jimmy?

>All Pete's songs are about masturbation, aren't they?

Keets:

No, but most of them could be classified as masturbation in one way or the
other.

>Well, there are the basic ones like "Mary Anne"

Bjorn:

According to Pete (this week, anyway) Mary Anne is about a girl with a
palsey he saw at a train station.

>Is that the same as "acid" rock?

Keets:

Acid Rock is NOT Progressive Rock. It may share some of the more
experimental sounds, but in AR's case it was sounds for the sake of sounding
good while one is "intoxicated." Progressive Rock was always meant to be
Art.

>listen to IN SEARCH OF THE LOST CHORD? They're working at that same "One
>Note" theory that Pete is in LIFEHOUSE.

That's actually the One Chord, but then there's the One Note which would
take everyone up another level of spirituality. I'm sure Pete had the Chord
in mind when he wrote about the Note.
In the MB case, I'd say that Eastern spirituality had already been explored
by George Harrison on Sgt. Peppers...so again, it's Sgt. Peppers redone.
