I've been able to get an answer on some of this, unfortunately. The cuts in
"The Kids Are Alright" were made by John Entwistle. Both he and Roger hate
the film with John thinking it was "boring" and Roger calling it "inept."
John told Bill Curbishley he would seek an injunction against the film if it
weren't cut. He managed to get the European prints cut as they are in the
present video. I don't know if John is also responsible for the speeding up
of the video but I wouldn't be surprised. As long as this roadblock exists,
I don't see how there will ever be a release of the complete TKAA.
