just remembered something

I recently went to the Rainbow Bar & Grill with friends one night after cavorting on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.  We went to the upstairs bar area for drinks and found a hand painted sign on an entryway to a dark semi-secluded seating area set aside from the bar.  It said "Lair of the Hollywood Vampires" and the members included John Lennon and Harry Nilsson, among other well known folks I can't recall right now.  President of the "club" was Alice cooper, and VP was Keith Moon.  I pointed this sign out to my friend who promptly grabbed a passerby to snap a pic of us in front of it.  Pity you can't read Keith's name on it in the picture :(  (the pic is at http://tatooine.fortunecity.com/falcon/104/pic14.jpg if you want to see - I'm pointing out Keith's name - you can see me peeking out from behind my friend Andrea)   I have yet to find that liquor store Keith loved so much when he was living out here.  His drums from the Tommy film can be found at the Guitar Center store on Sunset Blvd. also.  They are in the main window out front, so if you come by after the store is closed, you can still see them, along with a battered floor tom from the Pictures of Lily drumkit.

As far as the Pink Floyd thread goes, I've never tried any other sync aside from Dark Side of the Moon and Wizard of Oz, which I thought was very surreal.  I loved how Money starts right when the movie goes color.  There are so many coincidences it seems intentional.  I always try to talk friends into watching this with me.  The first reaction is always the best.
