Well put.
What jumped out at me was the contrast between "I don't need no woman" and
"don't go".
Also could apply to the audience, etc.
Pete exploring the duality of man??? Contradictions??
So, should we be hard and strong (like our fathers used to tell us we should
be), or should we acknowledge our true feelings and admit that we are human,
have feelings, needs (like our moms used to tell us we should be)?
Is Pete struggling with trying to live with both? Aren't we all?

Interesting to hear Pete's disdain for the flag, and Rog in the background
being all patriotic by saying "a damn good coat" in response to Pete saying
that flag should be made into a coat.
Or, was that Rog just remembering Pete's Union Jack Coat from back in the
day?

No question.

Just completed a bit of an experiment. Just cranked MG in my
office......very loud with my door just cracked.
Two visitors appeared.
One said, "Go K Go!", and left. ;-) Yes, they know I'm a Who nut here.
The other came in and sat during the quieter section to listen to the rest.
By the end, he was hooked.
"Damn, *that's* from *this* tour???" was all he said.

>haunting quality

Is that what that was??? ;-)
I liked the use of controlled feedback throughout.

*VERY* Promising.

I really think we're in for a treat. When Pete is motivated to write for
The Who, as he seems to be now, anything is possible. We're going to see
some killer stuff come out of Mr. Townshend, and perhaps even Rog.
I, for one, can't wait.

Stay in Tune,
Kevin in VT.
