>Robbie to play crazy Who drummer Keith in movie
>ROBBIE WILLIAMS is being lined up to star as legendary rock wildman KEITH
>MOON in a multi-million pound movie. Los Angeles-based Gerber Pictures are
>so keen to sign up the 26-year-old singer they have offered him pounds 1.5
>million, I hear. They think he is perfect to appear as The Who drummer, who
>tragically died of a drug overdose in 1978. Close friends of Robbie, who is
>currently romancing ex-Spice Girl GERI HALLIWELL, 25, say he is taking the
>offer “very seriously“. A pal tells me: “Robbie is looking at the script and
>is tempted. “It's not the money that attracts him because he's got enough of
>that already - it is Keith and his legend. “The two of them have a lot in
>common. Robbie, like Keith, has fought a long battle against drink and
>drugs - but unfortunately Keith lost. “His tough time with the booze and
>drugs gives him an insight into Keith's life and personal battles. “Robbie
>is also a big fan - and an admirer of his music and his drumming style.“ The
>pal added: “The film is bound to be a huge hit if Robbie goes for it. “And,
>of course, he's got acting experience - he played the Artful Dodger on stage
>as a child.“ Moon, one of rock's most outrageous stars, was famed for his
>crazy antics. He is credited with starting the rock and roll tradition of
>throwing TV sets out of hotel rooms.
