MSG & AMEX
It was the same set-up for the '96 Quad shows at MSG. The first three shows
were offered to American Express cardholders only. Three shows were added to
accommodate Who fans. My guess is that one or two shows will be added only
if the first two shows sell out quickly. After spending a grand to see the
PNC and Jones Beach shows, I seriously considered passing on MSG. Then I
realized that these have a chance to be legendary shows. Who can resist the
sight (and sound) of Pete and Page sharing the same stage? You know they
will. Probably for some blues covers. Forget all the bull about the ticket
prices (the Stones charged $300/$160 for their '98 MSG shows) and deadline
for entry, MSG will rock like it always does.
