I have to agree with you, Pete's music just seems to work right into a
classical interpretation. I am not really fond of Billy Joel and his
classical change either. Although, I haven't really cared for much of his
stuff since his first couple albums, too much of a pop sound. Thanks for the
correction on the URL hope you enjoyed the articles.
By the way my digest has been cut off after postings by Bruce, the last 3 I
think. Definitely a problem somewhere.

I couldn't get there from this URL, but here's the home page with another
article on rock stars writing classical music that's interesting, as well.
I'm like the guy in that article; I don't like McCartney's efforts at
"classical" music. Pete Townshend's music translates without any need to
change it, though. It just needs orchestration. Same for Brian May, BTW.
Some people just write music that transcends the boundaries.
