RE: Summer tour acoustic wish list

I'm with you Andrew!!! Along with your choices from WBN I would like to
add "However much I Booze" and not so acoustic "Dreaming from the Waist".
I would also love to hear what Pete & Roger would do with "Music Must
Change" (WAY). One of my later favs.

To change the subject to all the Beatle/Who banter that has been going on.
I normally don't get involved with these discussions because I believe it
is all subjective. People have their own formed opinions and very rarely
do you see them changed. I believe more so when you are talking about
musical tastes.  My remarks are as follows;

When I was younger I was into the Beatles. I enjoyed thier music but IMHO
it had no bite. It is fun POP Music. As musicians I believe they are good
to fair. I truly lost a degree of respect for both Lennon & McCartney
after the breakup. IMO no self-respecting musician would let their wife
on stage to roll around in a canvas bag and scream or let her go on Rolling
Stone R&R circus and scream her way thru a song and call it music. The
same goes for Paul letting his wife on stage when she can bearly sing a
note & has anyone ever really heard her play the organ??

I guess these things shouldn't have any bearing but it completely turns me
off. Is it just me or does anyone else have similar feelings. I just
believe that the Who took their craft very seriously and strove for
perfection. They my not have reached it every time but at least you have
to respect them for it. And I don't remember who posted it about the
content of songs and that L/M were better lyricist (sp?). Well on his own
McCartney wasn't that great. There are not many Wings songs that you can
crow about. "Someone's knocking on my door" is one of the most inane
pieces of music (if you can call it that) that was ever recorded.

IMHO Pete is a superior song writer to either L/M.

Thanks for your time

Kathleen
