interest to those Who fans or bassists who have a bit of money:

     It's time to sign up for summer camp, but not
     every camp has a member of the Who as a counselor. The second Rock
     N' Roll Fantasy Camp will take place in New York on July 16th
     through the 20th. John Kay of Steppenwolf, who was at the past camp
     in Miami, says it gives closet musicians the chance to "walk on
     the edge with those of us who've been there." The New York camp
     will feature John Entwistle of the Who, Clarence Clemons, Nils
     Lofgren and Max Weinberg of the E Street Band, Rick Derringer,
     Felix Cavaliere of the Rascals and Leslie West of Mountain. Among
     the others who may participate include Kay, Lou Gramm and Mick
     Jones of Foreigner, Alice Cooper, Peter Frampton and Edgar Winter.
     It's all yours for about 29-hundred dollars -- unless you bring a
     friend, in which case it's about 25-hundred dollars each.
