Drew,
 That is a tough call, Jimi or Jimmy.  Well Zep and Hendrix are two of
my favs, but if I had to chose, it would be Jimi Hendrix.  The Man a
style all to himself.  His playing was like nothing before or since. 
Page is great also, but he had a great singer, a great drummer, and a
great session musician(which is a tough job) for a bassist/keyboardist.
When I think of Page, Plant, Bonham, and Jones all go along with him. 
Jimi, was great with the Experience or post-Experience.  Page had others
to share the spotlight with.  Jimi had to take the spotlight and hold
your attention all night.  He could really grab you when he jammed.  His
ablity to jam can really be heard in Voodoo Chileand on the CD from New
York City with Morrison.
