Ocean Colour Scene are probably one of the best bands to come out of the UK
in the past couple of years.  Their style is not that different from the Who
circa 1971 ish.  They have some fantastic songs and their current album
'Moseley Shoals' is selling fast over here.  One of the band (the guitarist
I think) used to tour with Paul Weller so is a very accomplished session
musician.  They are definately worth seeing.
