Supper Club/Crowds

One thing I never understood is how can you listen to music when
you're standing and packed like sardines. The only thing promoters
care about is how many people can they pack into a room. I showed
up on Friday night without a ticket. I didn't want to pay $125 to
a scalper. Just before I was going to give up and leave, they made
an announcement that people without tickets can get on line and
that they may get in. There were 20 or so people outside. Right
after Mould went on, they let us in. I only had to pay the $50
ticket price. I enjoyed the concert but hated standing in one spot
for 3.5 hours. The place was definitely packed.
(Incidentaly, althought I was bored by Mould's
performance, I do like his old band Husker Du. However, they not
really "who-like". Perhaps a group like The Jam is more like The
Who.)
