        I'd believe that.  As a musician (clarinet player) whose instrument
depends on the air around me, I can sorta sympathize.  It's tough to play
(and probably sing) when you're choking on dust or drowning in the rain.

        I think that's true for anyone.  If the crowd is into the show, then
you're encouraged to push harder and do better.

        What novel concept!  Tuning one's self to the rest of the band....
It's a shame that in '82, which seems to be the tour to compare to, he
couldn't even hear himself.  (Maybe it's just me, but that's a circus, not a
concert.)
