HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - HBO has landed the exclusive U.S.
television rights to the
Concert for the Prince's Trust, a rock benefit show that
will tape June 29 in London's Hyde
Park and debut July 14 at 8 p.m. on the cable network.

The concert is slated to feature performances by Bob
Dylan, Eric Clapton and Alanis
Morissette, as well as a reunion of surviving Who members
Pete Townshend, Roger
Daltrey and John Entwistle, who will perform the music
from their 1970s rock opera
                   "Quadrophenia" alongside a performing cast.

It's thought to be the first time the Who (minus the late
Keith Moon) has played
                   "Quadrophenia" live.

HBO expects to pare the show down to between two and
three hours for its taped telecast,
produced using 14 cameras (including an aerial unit in a
blimp hovering over the site).

The Prince's Trust show is the first rock concert to take
place in Hyde Park since 1976. All
150,000 tickets for the event reportedly sold out within
48 hours.
