I recall reading something about Joey Ramone seeing The Who in NYC
in 1967, when he was quite young. The concert must have had a lasting
impression on him. All of those early punk bands were influenced by The
Who, whether they were aware of it or not, but Joey has been a Who fan for
a long time.
