Jukka:

All of the Beach Boys to PET SOUNDS are either Berry-oriented or ballads.
Turn Turn Turn is an traditional folk song, not written by The Byrds.
Besides, it's Folk electrified.
Do You Believe In Magic is Berry-oriented. Nothing different here.
KONTROVERSY was released 2 months after MG, and how long had The Who been
playing it live? Besides, most of K is Blues/CB-oriented. It was on FACE TO
FACE where Ray Davies broke the tradition.
RUBBER SOUL was released two months later, etc. The Who opened for both The
Kinks and Beatles, so we know they were influenced by them...as the music
suddenly changed just about then. What a coincidence, eh?
The RnR on HIGHTWAY 61 is definitely Blues/CB oriented.
I can't say that Begin Again rings a bell; who was that by?

>Let's just say that MG was among the first albums to do that. I mean,
>it's a great album, but nothing rarely happens alone, you know.

I stand by my statement.
