On my trip back from Germany last year, I had with me a few boots. I had no
clue as to what they would say or do, but as it turned out, they didn't even
look through any of my stuff. Of course, I'm an American returning home vs a
foreigner coming ashore (so to speak). 

Considering they are legit pressings, if questioned at all, I would say,
"They are gifts for my friends."
