Re: BRUCE AND THE WHO!!!!

Jeff, re:

>>I can think of many things to make fun of Pete, Roger, and John about but I
won't because I think that's stupid. I just think it's stupid to make fun
>of Bruce especially when you don't know anything about him

It's your choice to say and do what you want--make fun of whoever you like,
but be prepared for responses from other people. As for Springsteen, I know
quite a bit about him (unfortunately). For some reason he seems to attract
those who like to hang out at a 7-11 on the edge of town on a Saturday night,
with a dollar in their pocket (however, he's the one with 50 million in the
other!). I also can tell you he deserves an award for the "brilliant" video
of his, where the camera almost crashes into him and so on and so on...
Living in the "garbage state" it's hard NOT to "know anything about..."
Springsteen... Oh, I can say his ex-wife, Julliana Philips was nice. Patty
What's-her-<Troi>??? Nah... And, if you really want to go into some
Springsteen trivia, I can even tell you his first record was Dylan's "Highway
66" and I can tell you the story how he had to buy it twice 'cause the label
was wrong on the 1st one he bought... Did you know he used to cover "My
Generation" in his "post-high school" band??? Or that he likes to go fishing
in Roger Daltrey's lake??? I did always want to know why on his version of
"Blinded By The Light" (from "Greetings From Asbury Park"), he's singing at
one tempo and the band's playing at another???

>>I don't want to get in an argument here but I happen to be driving with
some friends all the way up to Atlanta, GA to see Springsteen at The famous
FOX THEATRE. Bruce will be doing his solo acoustic show there. It will pretty
much be Just Bruce and his Guitar. I know it's going to be amazing and I
surely don't want you to spoil my fun

My personal opinion of Bruce Springsteen should in no way "spoil your fun".
If you like him, nothing *I* say or do should affect that. If it does, than
you're admitting that you had some doubts which my comments are eating away
at. Think about this, do you think there's anyone that can say anything about
John Entwistle that would spoil *my* time when he's playing "Heaven &
Hell"??? Never happen. My opinion shouldn't matter.

>> I don't see any point in you trying to embarass me in front of the list

I don't recall doing ANY such thing. My comments were aimed towards
Springsteen. I'm sure if I had said something about Boy George or Michael
Jackson, you could have cared less. My point in responding here is to give
you something to think about. That is, don't make "assumptions" about other
people (ie Who they are, what they do, what they know and what they don't
know, etc.) You assumed I didn't know anything about Springsteen and if you
reread the 1st paragraph on this page, that's the whole basis of your
argument. Thankfully, I've forgotten more about him than I'd ever care to
know! If If you'd like to "argue" over this, that's your call...

And now for something, completely different...
