Re: Getting the big players in on the act.

Without criticizing Mark's comments, and agreeing at least with some
of the sentiments, I think there is some practical way to get the
info from the newsgroup over to them... Perhaps digesting the comments
over to Mr. Fang or some other volunteer similarly connected. Then, taking
up their time, or getting them exasperated, or whatever presumed emotional
difficulties they might have would essentially be laid to rest... I think
we could come up with a list of sensible questions, concerns, preferences,
and even make ourselves available to volunteer to do specific tasks when
and where appropriate. I mean, I'm not in the record industry, I know people
who are (bro-in-law is president of Time-Life Music, and have friends on the
distribution end - and no I don't mean folks who work at record stores, tho
I have them too and they're handy to catch some word off the street and
get some discounts!) and others contributing here do too, so it's just
another option. Sorry, folks, if we're gonna contribute in any way it's
gotta be teamwork and submerging some ego for the sake of the greater good.

My personal communications with people (several!) on this net who've been
involved in hostile interchanges have shown them to be purty damned reasonable if not pushed into a corner. In fact downright helpful and informative.
And there's lots of people here who can do a lot of good.

O.K. Enough of my Chris Farley "I live in a van by the river and your parents
asked me to give you a motivational speech" act!!!
