Personally whether it's TOS or TNG doesn't matter (though I prefer TOS),
but I thought a TOS substitute would get your attention. BTW I just
listened to MCA's Quad on a pair of Polk RTA 11's and came away with a
serious headache. My current speakers have cone tweeters so you don't get
that "shrillness" which makes the MCA Quad very listenable. However on
these Polk's it was barely tolerable, and I would never have figured that
the difference would be THAT great. Also the sound was very hollow,
something I hadn't found on my system. A counter argument could be that
Polk's aren't worth their price and lack the imaging found in better
speakers for a similar cost. I'm probably going to end up keeping the
Polydor and giving a friend my MCA for a case of Molson golden. If
Poly's Quad is an improvement, I'm going to buy the Poly Sell Out for
comparison.

True, and that is why I didn't place an advance order. But they claim
that this is the first time they've received something more than just
word of mouth.
