PBS and the Who

Yes, it is a shame that the PBS "Rock 'n Roll"  documentary hasn't (and 
looks like they probably won't) cover the Who.  I just can't understand 
it...I was quite frustrated last night when it skipped from the Rolling 
Stones to Led Zep!!  The Who were several years ahead of LZ in style and 
popularity...in fact many would argue that LZ copied the Who's specific 
style during their 68-69 shows.  The Who and the Kinks were also inspired 
by early American blues artists, just as much as the RS and LZ but 
instead they continued experimenting with musical style...all quite evident. 

Perhaps PBS was trying to apologize by airing the condensed 30-years R&B 
program which followed last nights episode (at least in DC).
