Oval Cricket / Cast

As far as I know, it's only available on a very bad audience tape, not on
CD. Can't believe the master tapes were actually for sale. It would be
great to have a nice soundboard from 1971, instead of the measly stuff we
have now, especially San Francisco in it's current form.

Again this points out the shoddy way in which Who recordings have been archived.

On David M.'s mail about the British group Cast: their debut album will be
out in the UK shortly. Don't know the US release date, and the band's
first single is only available as an import. The guitarist/singer for Cast
used to be in The La's, who had a song called "There She Goes" which you
might know. BTW, the group is signed to Polydor, which makes them very
happy because it was the Who's label (but you all knew that). Beyond the
fact that no group sounds quite like the 'oo, they are similar and remind
me of the Hollies.
Any group that says they're fans of the Who in an interview gets my attention.
