Re: Saturday Nights' Alright ...

Tom, re: "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting"

The song is on "Two Rooms", a Who promo CD single and the "30 Years Maximum
R&B" box set. Jon Astley "plays" drums on the computer.

"Take Me To The Pilot" was supposed to be a "payback" to Elton John for his
adding "I Can't Explain" to "Pinball Wizard" for the "Tommy Soundtrack"...
Can't say if he ever did it live, but I doubt it.

>Gawd, you know so much. I appreciate reading your informed and informative
posts, but I do tire of seeing your name on many many subject headers and
sigs. Combine your comments?

The reason I "know so much" is that I've spent the last 13 years aquiring
over 1,000 Who/Who solo LPs/CDs/45s, books, memorabilia, etc. I've also made
many connections in the process. Combine that with a close to photographic
memory and you have "Who information". BTW, as some people here know, I'm
very generous with "sharing" my collection as time allows.

As for "format", I use AOL for the Who list, but I also have Prodigy,
Comp-u-nerd and GEnie. I find AOL to be the best format for reading and
replying off-line. If you'd be willing to volunteer your services to help me
"combine" my responses more efficiently, I have no problem. Right now, this
is convenient for me.

Personally, I'm of the school of thought that people should post as much as
they want. The more info, the better. I hit the "next" button when I see a
subject I don't want to read. However, since I control what I choose to
ignore, I just do so, quietly and politely. EVERYONE has the right to speak
up as much as they want. i.e. I may not like your comments, but I'll defend
your right to make them. As for personal insults, they have no place here...
