WN vinyl

Finally got this... it's swell, as advertised.  I was disappointed with 
the new artwork, just 2 cheezy and familiar photos of the band in the 
gatefold - no lyrics, liner notes... guess that sort of thing is reserved 
for the new remaster.  Sounds great - better than any CD version - no 
hiss, for instance; but not tons better than the orig. Decca version I 
bought when the album 1st came out.  So, we've come all this way in 
technology only to get back roughly to where we were in about 1971!  The 
1st vinyl WN, and some of the import versions, really boomed, and I 
suppose it'll be some time before any CD recaptures the feel of that 
vinyl!  I must say that anybody who ever gave the old MCA vinyl version a 
spin would probably be converted to CD's forever - to my ears about the 
worst pressing of anything I've ever owned.  So, to return to the 
advantages of vinyl, we now pay over 20 bucks.  Old fart that I am, I 
still long for the days when, as the sticker used to say, "Records are 
you best entertainment value!"
