covered up to Breakaway (`69).

A funny one, that. I was at a private school in the Fall of `69, and there
was a guy across the hall called Tommy. From his room I kept hearing the
refrain, "Tommy, can you hear me?" I _had_ to find out what was going on
over there. He showed me the cover of TOMMY and I was intrigued...
But I later found out (when MBB&B was released) that I'd heard I Can See For
Miles on the radio...I just didn't know who it was.

Strawberry Alarm Clock & Iron Butterfly in the summer of `69. Both were past
their prime...in the case of SAC, way, way past...
