Re: QUADROPHENIA soundtrack

Hello, All!!!!!

With regards to the 3 Quadrophenia tracks - "Get Out And Stay Out", "Four
Faces" and "Joker James" - the truth of the matter is the Keith actually DID
play on ONE track, "Four Faces". Listen closely, and you can hear the
latter-period Moonie's off-kilter, about-to-lose-it-but-not-quite style. In
contrast, "Get Out" and "Joker James" have Kenney Jones' steady timekeeping
and his trademark drum riffs.

I think the story behind "Four Faces" is that the song was written in
1973 for the original Quadrophenia album, but was not included at the
time because it summed up the entire subject of multiple personalities in the
space of 3+ minutes. It appears that the version on the Quad soundtrack was
recorded in 1978 by Keith. So, historically speaking, "Four Faces" is
apparently the last song that Keith recorded with the WHO before his death.
