Fwd: Re: TKAA performances

A few days ago I had some questions about TKAA, here are Pete's comments...he
didn't send them to the list and wanted them sent.

I read that Pete was really pissed off. If I am not mistaken, Jeff Stein
didn't get "the definitive" WGFA and BABA that he really wanted to put in the
film. So the Who took the stage pissed off and gave us one of the
best versions (IMO) of WGFA and BABA.

Well, I noticed that the movie version of WGFA and the sounstrack version
end a little different. Pete plays totally different chords at the
end in the movie than he does on the soundtrack, and you also do not
get the part where Roger goes "meet the new boss, Whooh!", same as the
old boss, he gotcha (??)" on the record either.

This I always assumed took place during the recording. But there may be
only one version of the "laser lights" made that was to be added to the
final cut. I don't know that for sure though..

Now, the part where Pete slides on his knees...Was that done only once
as well ? Or did he do that in the "pissed off version" only ?

Never noticed.

Didn;t the Who wear the same clothes for the Kilburn shows
that they wore for the Shepperton shows ? Except for Moons
jumpsuit ?

And "My Wife" was from Kilburn State, no ?
