Re: What got you hooked ?

Well as you may have guessed from some of my posts I'm a younger
Who fan (I'm 19 to be exact) so my story isn't too exciting.
I was led out of my musical darkness about three to four years
ago. I'd been listening to the pop music of the day and found myself
getting bored with it. I used to watch VH-1 a lot and at the time they
played "Baba" from '89, "My Generation", "Magic Bus", and "Eminence
Front" quite a bit. I was somewhat intrigued so I had a friend of my
mom's make me a sort of greatest hits tape from his collection. Within a
few weeks of getting the tape I found myself unable to stop listening to
it. I would sit in class and just think about how bad I wanted to get
home to listen to my Who tape. About a month later I bought Who's Better
Who's Best on CD.
I began buying more CD's and reading more of the band's history.
I think their history and their individual personalities fascinated me as
much as the music. I wanted to be part of this entity.
Besides my future career, there is nothing else in the world I care
more about than the Who and their music. They've kept me company on a lot
of hard, lonely nights and I will forever be thankful for that.
In the past few years I've managed to buy all the studio albums,
a few bootlegs, and few solo albums. Also in that short time I've
destroyed my hearing by about 20%, LaL being the major cause of my
hearing loss.
My only real regret in life right now comes from knowing
that I will never get to see the Who play live.
Hope I didn't put any of you to sleep.

It sounds like I've been brainwashed or something doesn't it. I feel
some "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "See Me Feel Me" lyrics creeping into
my head.
