Both Dave Elliott and Marty Secero recently have written about Pete
being obsessed with his past.

I guess I never really thought about Pete's musical output in those
terms, although I can see their point.  However, I don't think that's
what Pete is doing.  I dont' find the tunes on PsychoD to be boring; I
like them better than I liked Iron Man or Chinese Eyes.

Psycho-analyzing Townshend has always been an enjoyable pasttime and
will continue to be so, simply because just when you think you've got
him "figured out", he does something unpredictable.
