While I can't argue with your argument that Pete's time would be better
spent on his own work, I must also say that the first time I heard U2
(OCTOBER) I thought, "There's another band influenced by The Who." And The
Police, for that matter (Sting in particular was influenced by Townshend's
work..solo as well). I DO like U2 (and they definitely need another
producer, judging from the last album), though.
