FM Radio formats....

I believe certain FM radio formats are linked together, either by
ownership or semi annual program director meetings.  For instance, my local 
AOR station here in Richmond VA is a dead ringer for WYSP, WMMR in Philly, 
and DC 101 in Washington.  The 'two for tuesdays' no repeat wednesdays etc 
etc are done everywhere.  We've had "deep cuts" for at least 3 years, and
people call an answering machine to make a request which will
eventually be played the following week.  One of the things they do
which I hate is "Get the Led Out" ---a block of three Zeppelin tunes
every day.  They only released ten albums, it doesn't take long to
run through the entire catalog.  I've really stopped listening to FM
radio because I have most of what they play at home on CD.  AM
sports/talk radio is more my speed, unless I'm playing CD's in the
car.  I wish Richmond had a WIP (though may who call are idiots,
it's still entertaining)
