RE: Ray must have missed this in The Globe today....

Ok now we can seriously consider the Blazers the Celtics East; not in this
or anyother lifetime.

Side note; my 7 year old had an adult in line at a store give him grief over
being a Celtics fan (he had on a hat), noting they suck. My kid noted back,
"nice attitude Sir, who is your favorite team?" To which he replied, in
Portland of course, "the Blazers". My son retorted, "how many titles have
they won, of course he holds up one finger. My kid replied for all to hear,
Sir I am only 7 and the Blazers won't win even half the Celtics 16 titles in
my lifetime, in fact I would be you anything they win another before
Portland. The guy smiled and blushed and the others close enough to hear
had a good chuckle. 3000 miles away Celtics fans rule. These Blazers fan
(of which I am minor one) get all excited about their great team and the
recent trips to the finals with Glide and company, yet the Celtics have won
3 titles since they won their only. It is not hard to one up a Blazer or
Sonics fan for that matter. Only the Fakers and Bulls have a more recent
edge.

On the Kenny front, as I noted, Damon for anyone is a pipe dream bar none.
He or his agent can whine all they want, but he is stuck with the Blazers
and likewise are they with him.

Greg is definitely a FA, but lass he is completely in love with Portland and
they with him and he will probably return unless some team gives him the
complete riches he deserves, and I don't see that being Boston. If the coin
was there he would be a top notch acquisition. Damon even better, but
again, not going to happen. For Portland's sake I just hope they get their
heads screwed on somewhat straight or they will crash and burn quickly, like
the Fakers already have and soon will for good, thereby wasting a stunning
run through the regular season, of which we all know is a complete waste of
time more or less.

Honestly we think our season has been a complete bummer, as others have
noted, look at the good times the likes of the Fakers, Sonics, Nets and even
the Pacers have had, not to mention the Twolves, Cavs, Kings, Whizzers and
others who at least expected something more consistent and better. It is
mostly sad to take heart in others failures, but for the time being, it has
some value.

Thanks and take care,
Greg

Damon for Kenny; that would be a most excellent trade, but it's
not going to happen. Sure, a happy Kenny would benefit the C's,
but it's too late for Sharon Tate or Kenny. I wonder if Greg Anthony
is a free agent. He'd certainly fit into Pitino's system, although
I think Wayne Turner would be a cheaper alternative.
