Well, then, TURN UP YER FUCKING BASS!
And, get those fingers limber-errrr.

I read an interesting post on Exile to Whoville about this. Not only was
John heard because he was loud, he was heard because his rig was set up to *be
heard*. All of his nimble finger work wouldn't have mad much of a difference if
he was covered up by Pete's loud lead guitar. To "turn up" a bassy bass may
just have the effect of making things rattle. Pino is used to his own rig
with his own strings that are "bassy". John used two amps, one being a lead
guitar amp and strings that made a more distinct sound. He was a trebly bass
player that could be heard along with Pete. He made sure of that and that was
his trademark. For Pino to just turn it up may not be that simple. He may have
to become a Who bassist all around.
