I remember an interview from the early to mid 80's where Pete said he allowed 
an English left-wing candidate to use WGFA for campaign ads., and that Pete 
even offered to rewrite WGFA to make it more pertinent to the guy's campaign. 
Pete said he thought the real meaning of the song hadn't been conveyed well 
enough in the orig. lyric because some had taken the song to endorse 
political complacency. Can someone there track down this interview? Could 
have been Trouser Press. I have 'em all, but not the time to peruse.
