Wow. It's this sort of bravado that is making us the most hated country in the world.
Why am I getting the picture that you've never been outside of the US, Jon?
I'd like to see you state this in front of someone from the UK, or Germany, or Italy, or any other country.
Actually, on second thought, keep that to yo-self. We don't need you to go pissing our Allies off anymore than Bush has already.

>(See EU) Something much much bigger is going on here than
>Bush wanting to get his way in Iraq. We influence the entire world.

We are an economic and military superpower.....nothing more.
Regarding influence on the rest of the world?? Ummm, let's hope not, because we sure are dropping the ball on many issues that Europe has been leading for decades (see current environmental, ecological, healthcare, social security, elderly housing, drug use, prostitution policies.....just to name a very few.).

PPS. The Catholic Church represents more Christians than all other denominations combined. It is their belief, thus the belief of a majority of Christians, that The Pope is directly guided by God.
My father in-law is a Catholic Priest (Byzantine rite is allowed to maintain marriage and have children if prior to ordainment).
I hear things and have insight.
Sorry.
