The increase in sensitivity is reportedly remarkable.
<cough> Bullshit! :-)
I've read a number of different reports from patients who received circumcisions in their adulthood due to various factors (all ending in one hell of a painful procedure) and they claim that the sensitivity is the same.

Individual perception, no doubt, but nevertheless it's simple common sense: the more friction any body part encounters, the thicker the epidermis will become. Guitarists equipped with fingertips can testify to that. It's true of hands, feet, and anything else covered with skin. And when a foreskin is removed, daily friction on the contents goes way up and moisture, another softening factor, goes way down.

Also, smegma does not form if basic washing is observed.

And how would you know, hmmmmmm? ;-)

I read the manual, of course.
